Dear Friend,

Old Battle Creek Baptist Church is in its 157^th year. Part of our house of worship has some old hand-hewn oak logs in it from the original structure built around 1850. The church was modified in 1971, and the interior renovated two years ago. We have begun construction of a 40x60, two story Family Center. On the lower level weÂ’ll have four finished class rooms and more than half left for recreation, and, future classrooms as may be needed. On the upper level: three classrooms, kitchen, nursery, bathrooms and a large assembly area with a fireplace using stones from two pioneer chimneys nearby.

We have added five deacons; we are having additions to our fellowship; we have a wonderful warm spirit of harmony and cooperation and recently celebrated the tenth anniversary of Bro and Mrs. Barrett with us. Excitement is in the air about our present and future.

The funds we are using are from some families who wanted to be a part of the ministry of this Grand Old Church. Others are also giving. An oaken plaque will contain the names IN HONOR OF and displayed in the new assembly room. We invite you to be a part of this noble work.
